Connect the mixer to a computer

No offence taken but your milage may vary. I've heard high end PCI cards introduce all sorts of noise to recordings. Of course the card is not the only variable. The quality of the equipment inside the case, the case itself and the equipment surrounding it also makes a difference.

USB2 is ...

I made a tutorial at http://soundsystem.metalgear.org to show people how to ge...

Connect the mixer to a computer

Just one thing tho, internal soundcards in a computer are guaranteed to produce LOTS of noise no matter how much you spend on the card. The inside of a PC contains all sorts of RF noise which is pretty much guaranteed to mar your recording. If you have the cash and space, go with an external analog...

which sample cd for dub?

Respect to all,

I bought Soundscan 27 and really did not like it. I found very little usable material on that disc. One real dissapointment was there are only 3 basslines on there and none of em was any good.

The Laswell CD is a mixed bag but I found some nice things in there. The...

loopwise.com - midi/soundfonts for dub

Respect to all, disgreement is just words, so...

I see this same kind of idea battle on many music sites: loops/sequencing/any automation vs live; computers vs tape, etc. Let me speak my mind as someone who grew up with tape and now uses a computer to produce.

First of all every k...

Real Spring Reverb Units samples for DUB-production CD colle

truth be told, I dont think I'd buy a CD like that. Its already a problem when I get a sample CD that has lots of pre-processed sounds because it takes so much work to get them to fit into anything else.
