'I mean a acoustic kick drum is one hell of a job to get it sound good' <BR> <BR>try taping a quarter to where it gets hit on the skin...try recording from a further distance and pump it later in the mix...also sometimes shittier mics end up working better with an acoustic drum set...i mean sly dun...

check out <BR> <BR>www.google.com <BR> <BR>search for - <BR> <BR>'reggae tablature' or 'bob marley tablature'...take it from there...chords help...but it is the strumming method that counts and give it the reggae riddum...i suggest watchin some old reggae live on video and check out their style...

Do you use analog or digital recording equipment?

I think both sides have their advantages... <BR>It depends on what your vision is...if you're nostalgic then analogue is the way to go...if you are looking ahead into breaking into new territories - then digital is a great avenue as well. <BR>But i think analogue is more popular among hardcore dubb...
