Just did an other one,
Stellar by Incubus.
I just came across a bunch of multitracks.
Someone hacked the video games Guitar Hero and Rockband.
Been combing through it all- thought this track would sound good.

Thanks! for the positive feedback... I probably did I few different versions of I heard it through the grapevine. This was just the one I recorded. That guitar is so percussive it works just like traditional reggae skanks... Yeah, I'm a little restricted - I wish I had a physical unit for my delays....

I've seen this clip before, still never saw the whole movie yet. anyway, I'll throw my 2 cents in about your questions. For the guitar.. at first when they start and when hes soloing it sounds very dry without any effects on it. Its got that natural, almost twangy tone to it. I also think its one of...

Just wanted to say that The Drastics are awesome, and an other band that does live dubbing is Dub Trio. If you watch some live videos (probably on youtube) You'll see how they manage dubbing live... also a group called Gaudi. Ive watched some of their live performances online.. they've got guys all ...

But I did this setup and it worked pretty nice. ... used two Y-cables one into the aux send - to the mic input on the front of the laptop. and one into the cd/tape in - to the headphone plug on the laptop....

Hey,
I was wondering what interface some of you are using to send separate recorded tracks into your analog mixer for dubbing and mastering...?
I was looking into the presonus firpod (fp10)
but Im not sure if that does whats needed...
I own a tapco 12 channel analog mixer..
thanks.

thanks, I have looked into the firepod before, and others like it... I disregarded it because of price and because i could get the same amount of ins/outs for cheaper... thanks for the info about preamps, it all makes sense now. So... I keep my tapco 260fx analog mixer... If I want to record separat...
