Sorry for the VERY late reply. I haven't even been online within the past month. I just looked at the link you posted and checked out that plugin package. Man, I tell you, that is true analog sound. With the right setting, you would sware that a pure digital recording was done in all-analog. Honestl...

I guess the only way to prove for sure if it's actually worth it is to self-test it. I'm not going to rely on whether or not the other guys use it or don't. For instance, in the reggae industry there is alot of hype about Cubase and ProTools etc, but when I tried it out, I found that it was confusin...

Just because it's not popular doesn't mean it's not useful. Even the most popular studio tools out there were criticized by those skeptical of their performance before they were put to use, now people can't live without them in their studio. I know pretty much nothing about this T-rackS so I can't b...

I should've made it clear that it didn't mention anything about tape simulation. I believe it is new, so it is not well known yet. Even if it was well known, there are alot of people out there who still wouldn't use it, because they want hands on equipment compared to software. I still wouldn't rule...

Oh yes there is. Check this out. This is the one I mentioned in my last post.

Expensive for software, but you'd pay just as much and more for hardware units, plus lose physical space.

Thanks SO MUCH for the info Neil. I was wondering if there was just one traditional /acceptable route to go with this. After reading your post, I looked for analog mastering and actually did find software that takes care of this sort of thing (Although expensive). I'm going for it though because it ...

Oh Ok. See, here is the deal of my whole situation. Maybe you could help me better. I like analog recording simply because of the sound it produces. Digital is higher quality, but too clean and cold for vintage lovers. However, I was pretty much forced to choose the digital route due to lack of mone...

Hi, thanks for the reply. I was just wondering if it were possible. Now on the other hand, if a recording is done with analog gear only (I know that most gear is like a hybrid though) , and the album copies goes to cd format, would the analog character be fully replaced by digital quality? Sorry for...

Digital to Analog

Hey, I have a question about digital to analog recording. My studio setup so far (due to VERY tight budgeting at the moment) is all done through the pc. No external influence at all. I was wondering if your recordng is done all digital and you put it on vinyl for instance, would the music have that ...

I did see a topic on here that discussed organ bubbles. I just read it this past week. I don't know if you came across this one yet, but you can read it to see if it can supply you with some info that you need. http://www.interruptor.ch/Php5/dubboard/viewtopic.php?t=800 Do you still have your casio ...

Wow, I'm surpised you found that vst1 synth. Thanks. From my experience playing around with it. That piano patch that I'm talking about sounds like it would come from the Casio CZ 101/100/1. Not too glossy like the Korg M1's pianos, and not to Flute and bell sounding like the Yamaha DX's pianos. How...

It isn't a self created patch, because I've heard the piano being used on tunes from different labels. It is a preset. I heard it being used on alot of tunes from Music Works, Kennedy Intl., and very few tunes from Penthouse. That "Add An Attachment" option is still not here either for some reason, ...

Well, does someone here at LEAST have a Casio CZ synth? Just hearing some samples of the piano patches would help me out at least some. If not a Casio CZ, then some piano samples of other synths that were used for dancehall back then.

Hi, under the text entry fied, there is no "Add an Attachment" window below. I don't know if it's because of my browser or what (Internet Explorer 7) . Check this link. Listen to the track "We've Got It All (Make It Real)". That's the type of piano I'm talking about. http://www.reggaerecord.com/en/c...

Looking for piano sound from certain synth.

Greetings, I was wondering if anyone here knows the type of synths that were used in 80s reggae. I noticed that this question was asked once or twice before on this site, but mine is different in a sense. I'm looking for a certain piano sound. I can't describe it and I can't let you hear a sample be...
