agree with dradesman, sounds typically phased piano synth.

I would just had that the quality of teh synth you use can greatly impact the "percusive" feeling of it.

And too, it's obvious, but note should be very short in length (if your not using a keyboard to play them).

After years of using external hardware multitrack recorder, I moved to the PC solution...

I have same drum bro, but was surprised by the noise coming threw the main output... a shame.
