hi, if you want a more deep sound, i suggest you an ACTIVE Steinberger basses..i know, its a modern bass, active, not like the classic,passive fender but i soooo used in the Dub today...i like the synapse model, http://www.luckymusic.com/_srcprod/64722.jpg and if you again want to buy a practice amp...

Yeah.... it's soooo true... But for me there is a solution.. have a choose between two sound....for different styles... one iperpumped active 5strings bass, with medium freq cutted, and gain oversized to sound like a modern Dub bass (handle with care!!) & and one freetless nasal bass for jazzy stile...
