tuning up an old Wurlitzer
Yah, I've done that - but like I said I get a distinct sinth sound from the organ speakers. Unfortunately, I loose this sound when I run it out to an amp. I know there is a way. Knowing me I'll fry this organ trying...

Thanks,

no not like that, I have a Wurlitzer Funmaster/Sprite, model 350, nothing fancy but you can get some cool sound out of it. Now that the keys work I have another hoop to jump through. I need an imput. There is only a 1/4" out. I'm able to run out-board effects to an amp but I want to be able to run ...

tuning up an old Wurlitzer
I just bought an old Wurlitzer organ for $20 and it makes some cool sounds almost like a moog. Unfortunately, the keys aren’t responding as well as I’d like. There’s a slight delay or no sound at all at times on a few keys, and it pops and buzzes like a bad pot on a guitar or mixing console. I spay...

Does any one live in France?
I’m going to be in Nice and then Paris from the 10th of Sept to the 23rd. Just wondering where all the cheep women are? I would love to get an idea of where to go in the city, possibly see some shows. I’m from Hawaii and speak almost no French so I’m pretty sure I’m going to be screwed. Are there an...

Art DI/O digital conversion
How important is digital conversion, is there a big difference in sound quality? Right now I'm guessing I have a mediocre sound card, it's the card that came with my G4 computer. I'm using an all right mixer as a mic preamp and mixing in ProTools. I’ve read good things about the Art DI/O as an inex...

Thanks Mike, yah this is going to be a work in progress and I'll figure out how to do stuff (such as mastering) when I come to that bridge. I was just looking for an over view of how to put out some music and you've given me some good leads.

Vince

Thanks for the ideas. The way I look at it is this. I'm not looking to make money here. If I can make enough to recoup for the mastering or printing that's a success story. I've known a lot of people in bands who put out there own stuff and it just sits there in the local record shop and your frien...

Thank you. All the tracks listed, I am playing and recording all the instruments, mostly in my apartment. I sampled the beats for almost all the songs, adding reverb or effects here and there. Untitled ska is the only song where no sample’s was used and was recorded on a 4-track tape cassette. I'm ...

It's been a while since I was on this discussion board, I use to correspond with Mike Zee on a few production topics. Anyway, I would like some feedback on some tunes I created and maybe some advise on how to get a possible CD out, if it comes to that. Go to: www.sky.prohosting.com/marc700/
Ple...

Mixer and sound card advice
Mike you dropped a lot of useful info on me and that Delta 1010-Lt seems like a good choice with 24 bit 96khz recording. I defiantly want multiple ins to record live band stuff. I'm trying to put a surf rockabilly thing together and that’s what the inputs would be for, or any other live type record...

Mixer and sound card advice
I like that the Delta 410 has 8 outs, but it only has 2 inputs. I think I want at least 4 inputs so I can record live stuff straight into the computer. That's why I was looking at the Delta 66 because it has 4 inputs, but it also only has 4 outputs. As for the board I'll probably wait around till I...

space echo 201: squeak problem
I've had a 201 for about a week and I'm happy with it but it's starting to squeak. I think it's from the tape rubbing against the tape heads. It's getting louder each day and shows up when I record. Does this mean I need to change the tape loop? Dose something need to be lubed? I had this thing for...

My set-up is pretty basic; I'm kind of new to dubbing. I build songs one track at a time in the computer using protools just because it allows me16 tracks to play with. I have to use a 4-track cassette recorder for live band stuff because I can only input 2 tracks in the computer at ones, no sound ...
