I got a new one from Accutronics. At the time the price was very reasonable, I don't know what it is now. http://www.accutronicsreverb.com/ I don't know if it will now be the same service as I got. See this thread which gives a lot of useful information: http://www.interruptor.ch/Php5/dubboard/viewt...

Yes, that's an interesting one. Plenty of scope there I think, and would suit a dub treatment.

Fancy trying to dub up Queen?

Hi, Good dub, particularly on 'real' instruments, has subtle but immense groove and I feel this is all something you should just absorb by listening. I would like to think I can play a bit of dub bass, but I don't have names for any of the note rhythms. Good playing comes from a state of 'unconcious...

Certainly seems to sound warm and nice judging from videos.
It knocks UAD's Space Echo into a cocked hat.

That's good, but I think it's a mistake to use so a long sample of Lee Perry and then call the track the same name as a different track actually made by Lee Perry.
(unless Perry had an official involvement and I don't see an indication he did)

Little Roy - Battle for Seattle

The new forthcoming Little Roy is a album of Nirvana covers, and very good it sounds. Classic roots style.
You might only be able to acces this link if in the UK, but you can probably search it out for wherever you are:

Good list Noiseboy.
It's obvious that given a free choice of any mic you would be unlikely to use a SM58 on a bass drum.
The question is can an SM58 produce a decent result on a bass drum? I don't have the personal experience but I'd wager it can.

I think you're OK to use the SM58, in fact it may be a good choice for bass drums in dub.
I think if you used something with more bass pick up you'd be eq'ing the lower frequencies out anyway.

Well, I think it's good then as far as it goes.
The sound all hangs together nicely, except as you identified the drums stick out as not as good as the rest of the mix. They're the toughest thing!

I'd add some speech samples in there (Boss SP samplers are convenient). It would give it a subject and something to hook on to. If you're not going to be selling in large quantities I don't think copyright holders will be coming after you. I think it's a good bed but it needs something lying on top....

A good compressor shouldn't colour the sound at all, This compressor actually does colour the sound and thats what i like about it. I think all the most sought after compressors are sought after precisely because of the way the they shape and/or colour the sound in a manner unique to them. Why woul...

100% wet reverb will still retain many elements of a mix, including hi-hat. It just makes your mix sound like it's being played through a system in a huge empty sports hall. Your example sounds like my Spacexpander reverb only. Try setting a sofware reverb to 100% with the same input. If you were pl...

I don't understand what you mean. The Spacexpander processes whatever you put into it. If what you put into it has hi-hat than reverbed hi-hat will be part of what comes out. If you mean the Spacexpander is outputting sounds you have not fed into it then it might just be possible that it is picking ...

It reminds me of KarmaComa (Massive Attack), but how do I put this nicely? with the good bits taken away.
I don't think leaving out any bass or drums makes it better. How heavy duty can that be?
Nice cover artwork though.

That might sound harsh, but it's my honest reaction.
