alright i have been playing dub fr bout two years now- in a local band, we do mainly "covers" ie just nick bassline and main melody from classics. so i have learnt a lot of guitar melodys from these songs- and inbetween i can jam along just fine- but i always seem to end up playing like a rock guit...

a lot of sly an robbie tracks got some nice jazzy guitar lead on...but the most genius dub guitar i reckon, is when the guitarist plays properly sparse stuff, but it just fits so well- check out any tubby tune, or lee perry as well

how to get that ching,ching guitar sound?
if u think of it it terms of beats ina bar- 1st beat - mute, 2nd beat - upstroke chord( but really attack the strings) 3rd beat- try playing the root of the chord, on the low e string(or a fifth works okay too) 4th beat - mute....repeat indefinitly - <BR>goes like this...wok cha dun...
