I have a 16 track fostex:2000$ is really too expensive &#40;800$ is the price i 've paid for it!&#41; <BR>I think that analog is the solution for roots dub <BR>only if you record reel instruments.If you use <BR>expend sounds or samples analog will be only a source off problems..

About sherman filterbank ,I've tried it quikly <BR>and couldn't get a no oversatured sound. <BR>Was it my fault or this overdrive cannot be <BR>bypassed?

Sound isn't so simple to try to make it more difficult whith a system that needs more speakers <BR>,amps,and a accurate deck to make it well. <BR>I'd rather experiment "surround" for sound takes: <BR>Put one mic in front off your source another <BR>at the back and phase invert....(works in case...

To get these positive vibration i have a small trick:I let play the musician couple of hours <BR>on the song and i record while the musician don't <BR>know it's recording! <BR>I often get a more "relaxed" part ,because even good musicians are sometimes troubled by the red light!&#40;:-&#41;
