Yes Radic, we are bother right... Cause at the begin of dub experimentation 4track mixer doesn't exist, there was only 2-track (or perhaps mono) recorder and I had read that King Tubby used bouncing (the technic you describe) to mix first bass/drum and then bounce shank/vocal/lead melody... over it ...

@ Radic: I never heard that they were recording dubs in several "layers". So far I always thought that each dub from the tubby studio was a mixing board performance done in one take. It's just sure and certain... it's the root of the art of mixing that King Tubby created ! @Radic The fact is that y...

It's not only falsetto, it's a combination of normal voice and falsetto voice by different singer on different note making a chord. It's funny cause I can only sing correct in falsetto, my standard voice is always wrong... funny to learn it's the same technic used in yodel... I perhaps must start a ...

That's a difficult one because the Massive Attack/Mad Professor album ("No Protection") is a pretty unique affair. So true Interruptor, I think it's impossible to find what your looking for... No Protection is really a unique production, even Massive Attack is inimitable.... this album isn't really...

After watching lot time this move, I must agree with your statement Interruptor... Only one aux send for reverb.

Agree about the post-fade trick for delay, but I wonder how scientist used the phaser... ???

yes i ve seen it but the wet-dry control seems to be missing ... is it easy to use sth else for it? If you want to do real live dubwise, you are going to use it as 'aux' so, you need to have it set to 100% wet. So if the pot is break at 100% it's not a problem at all ;) I never use this knob on min...

I think you can achieve this sound with any kind of 'Electronic-Piano' emulation, I speak about the kind of 'rhode' simulator...

Depending on hardware/plugin you use, you can switch settings to get that specific sound.

Just want to say that the TSR 'Televison Suisse Romande' use sometimes 70's dub track in some documentary, I often listen to some tubby's or scientist track on this swiss local TV.

I remember 5 or 6 show where I noticed jamaican dub music.

I think somebody in the society love dub music :D
