what is the essence of dub?

Shot myself in the foot, have I? Oh well, never mind.

Anyway, the irony is that in the music world, Darwinism will see off the Genomic Dub Collective quite effectively, simply because it does'nt sound so hot. I can only imagine the state-fronted BBC showing an interest.

Audacity is junk. Good for amplifying and applying fades in and out AFTER you've completed the track.

Hardly a studio.

Woho! I just listened to his MP3s. Pure garbage - nothing to worry about. If he did'nt say "Darwin" instead of Rastafari he would be working on bringing his style up to scratch.

I agree Mike.

Reading between the lines what the good Professor probably does'nt want us to read, he's seems to be an academic trying to get back in touch with his "roots" with roots music, but unable to get out of the habit of taking the stance of a teacher rather than a student (soun...

DUB SIREN - VST Plugin
Well if you look at this thread nobody is discussing dub or the techniques they've come up with using the VSTs, and the junglists (i.e. chavs) have got their hands all over it now. I can't even get free hosting space for my genuine dubs.

See:
www.chavscum.co.uk

I had a look. Words have power. What they're doing is reappropriating power words from modern culture, so that those words lose their power as their meaning becomes obscured. It is indeed a kind of mass hypnosis/brainwashing exercise. It's similar to what the media has done with terms like "Big Bro...

You have to see "The Wash" featuring Snoop Doggy Dogg. It features a scene where one idiot smokes a cigarette and reads "Dub" magazine with his idiot friends. (Dub magazine is a US-based car magazine).

Talk about losing the plot..

Smoke herb and don't let be brainwashed in...
