Help!! Wanna start dubbing!!!!

if you already have a recent Mac, chances are you have GarageBand installed. You can use that for recording and I wrote a short tutorial on the basics of dubbing in GB at http://soundsystem.metalgear.org/

Couple of album recommendations

"Scientist Meets The Space Invaders" was kind of fun and I've found a number of Scientist gems on various compilations. I've found though that his sound becomes kind of predictable after a while and there are so many albums out there that its hard to know which are killer and which are filler.

What type of Song Structure does dub use?

if you mean dub mixes of existing songs, they usually follow the structure of the existing material with optional extras.

if you mean dub as a style on its own, it can be whatever you want it to be.

Qualitative differences between drumdrops vol 1 and 2?

I own Drumdrops in Dub Vol 2, both the multitrack and loops disks. The quality of these is very good. The real differences are going to come in the drumming styles since Vol 1 is Horsemouth and Vol 2 is Style Scott. I chose Vol 2 since I personally prefer Style Scott's drumming tho what I heard of V...

WOW & FLUTTER - VST Plugin now available

This got featured in the blog of the Japanese music magazine DTM here http://www.dtmm.co.jp/archives/02.php

I'd love to try this plugin myself, but I'm a Logic user on OSX so I'd need an AU version to try it.

Phaser techniques

Depends on the sound you want, but aux/insert is pretty standard.

If you want to go pretty far out, put it on a bus (if your mixer/DAW supports them) and send a group of instruments there. Since throwing alot of sound thru a phaser sounds really odd, I use that sparingly. When I do ...

Resonant Bass jah warrior style

Dub in London...

Its funny that someone asked about the health implications of a Jah Shaka show because a few weeks ago Shaka played Tokyo. I'd had 5 fillings done the day before and had to leave the show after only 90 minutes due to bass pain in my jaw
