Yes!

It should just be a matter of connecting your MIDI out on your keyboard to the MIDI in on the 1010 break out cable, make any necessary set up in Cubase and away you go.
You can then trigger any VST instrument with your keyboard.

Some great dub dj sets

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I just found this site:
http://reggaerevolution.podomatic.com/
Which has got some great dub DJ sets on it (at least the first 2 which I've listened to are).

Hi, Nothing much wrong with it (by which I mean no big changes needed). Nice to hear a different language in dub. I think maybe the bass is just a little to loud in the mix. Also with that much reverb it really is going to show the quality (or shortcomings) of the reverb, a bit of delay used in the ...

Hello, I think when tape was the only option everyone dreamt about there being no hiss, it was a thing to combatted. I don't think I'd ever add hiss to music, although a recent soundbed I did benefited from having something that sounded like hiss. The ear sometimes likes to have spaces filled and hi...

Yes, that is correct.

What exactly is a parametric EQ and how is it used? How is it different to a "standard" EQ which just has sliders for certain frequencies? I would say the standard sort of eq in plug in form is parametric (and I would think all serious mixing desks have parametric eq, and all the classic outboard e...

Here's what I said in the transducer specs thread: 'I got a new tank (good service from Accutronics). I can tell you the code above - 4FB2B2C (although 2C will have to be 1C because of the clamp thing*) works - the input output audio levels seem to be the same as the original one. There certainly is...

I'm not sure what sound you are meaning.
Do you mean the high r&b type lead sound?

Hello, DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) originally was used to mean the computer hardware setup and music software together. Nowadays DAW has come to usually mean just the music recording/sequencing software - like Cubase, Logic, Sonar, ProTools etc. The package you link to comes with cut down versio...

I've never used a DAW controller, I've never felt the need but if you are thinking of one have a look also at this Behringer unit:

That reverb is decent - but remember DAWs will all come with reverb and delay plug ins. That Behringer mixer also has built in effects. It would at least I think be wise to see what those could do before spending money on a separate reverb.

No, you don't need a soundcard if you have that firewire audio interface. A soundcard is a type of audio interface. Some soundcards have a breakout box that give various connections like mic preamps, headphone socket etc. (which link to a PCI/PCie card in the computer) - but firewire interfaces like...

Just to weigh in on DAT. DAT is Digital Audio Tape. It is tape but digitial information is written and read from it. It has none of the sonic characteristics associated with 'traditional' analogue tape. DAT is now basically archaic (DAT machines are no longer being made) and there is no reason to us...

The creepy thing is that there are no advertisements on Youtube. Google bought Youtube for 1,65 billion US$ in 2006. Hi,
You can't scroll down the text boxes on the home page - there's text there that one can't get to at the moment.
And I guess you know but the gallery section doesn't have working links.

Good luck with it.

A lot of posts are old, but many of them are about technique and vintage equipment and the knowledge about those remains true and relevant. The forum has, for instance, built up probably the best collection of knowledge about the K-10 Spacexpander on the net.
