In a friends studio i recently used Waves compressors like the L2 or L3 multiband and the PSP Vintage warmer. They are cool but expensive.. Here some free plugs for you to try out: http://www.spacenoah.com/musicsoftware/bestfreevstaudiocompressors.htm http://www.wavosaur.com/vst/multiband-compressor...

maybe this could help

Hi, i dont know if this is the answer to your question, but check it out: An older user of DDB 'Kocha' has used a behringer bcr2000 to control parameters of his DAW to do live dubbing. I have never done anything like this but i think you could do the same thing to do your mixdown and then just recor...

Oh yeahh, i just love dramatic and excessive manipulation of sound  ..I use Cubase SX2 as my DAW and for pitch i just use the built in pitch effect with time correction, but i think this would not be any good for a clear voice ..maybe for pitchin it some notes but not for an octave..

bass

Hi Interruptor, i'm glad you like it! I recorded the voice then put an Exiter on it boosting the lows all the way and then added two compressors plus heavy EQ. Then i duplicated the track and pitch the duplication one octave lower. voila! oh and in the recording process i had putten some socks over ...

Beatbox-style Dub experiment "Mouff Dub No1"

I am not a beatboxer, but i had the funny idea of making a dub tune only with sounds that i can produce with my mouth. For recording i used a RFT DM 2112 M microphone which you can get for 1€ on ebay. I can only recommend this "production" -technique ,as a time killer when you're bored, to all who l...

Welcome to the Board Count Mortem, hope you stick around.. Great video, Dub FX is crazy. I hope someday i will see him do that live somewhere on the streets. :mic: that would be fun.. I am not a beatboxer myself, but i have also done a dub "tune" with sounds made only with my mouth but with a much m...

i just bought a yamaha ps-55 some weeks ago for 5€, it looks very similar to the mp-1. It is also from '83, same colours, it has the same buttons, faders and the transposer knob way on the left. Off-course it has no printer lol.. but it has some funky sounds though(like music box, harpsichord,...

Hi Neil C, thanks for your comment on the harmophon.. Indeed this instrument has some (little) versatility in its sound, imo depending on the type of mic and the mic positions, and also depending on the loudness(how much air goes through it). I believe it sounds more like a melodica when less air is...

You got some wicked dub vibes there.. I like particularly alfa's walk, flangerman, blasta song & Dub allot.. Only your overall Sound / Mix could use a little improvement in my opinion! What i mean is, it could be more transparent, it sounds kind of muffled.. What kind of Soundcard are you using?
