When I was living in Holland as a youth we had some German stations on the television too. I never watched it because I didnt understand the language.
Except for 1 music program called Rockpalast coming forward once a week or so.
Artists with a lot of different styles of music performed there...
A lot of reggae artists too.
I've found some stuff back on the net today and besides the memories of my youth it's really wicked to see back Burning Spear live in his (mid) early ages for example .
