i am trying to find out what are the most common effects that sound systems use when they spin records. i am aware of the siren and samplers but after that i get lost. does anyone have any idea what kind of machine is making those endless echoes that can change pitch and tempo?

must be a delay unit. most digital delays cannot create echoes changing pitch and speed though. analog and tape delays usually can do it.

a friend of mine uses a boss digital delay guitar-pedal on his sound to great effect. i am not sure whether the current models DD6 and DD3 still react the same when changing the delay time &#40;the pitch and tempo change you are looking for&#41; just try it out and tell us afterwards.. <BR> <BR>also line-6 has a small delay pedal called "Tone Core Echo Park" This one is specialised in vintage delays like tape echo and analog echo. it might be even cooler than the boss models. i havent tried how it reacts to tempo changes though.
