Greetings amigos,
Been looking to recreate this bent stringy sound that is heard in some killer 80's and 90's digital dancehall tunes, can anyone point me in the right direction??! Often use logic and software instruments but not opposed to finding hardware to get that fire stringy sound!
Examples:

Big ups!

I don't recognize the sound or instrument used in these examples. Did you already look for "Clav", "Clavinet" or "synth piano" presets in synths from the era? For example look at the DX-100 as used by Steelie and Clevie in the early days. DX-100 is a speced down version of the DX-7 with only 4 operators. No need to buy the hardware original as there are plenty of free and affordable FM soft synths which can play original DX-100 presets.
