I got this the other day. Once again Blood and Fire hit with a brilliant album.
Great music, artwork, liner notes? What more could you ask for?

It is a double album, and quite pricely but worth it, in my opinion. You get a good taste of a lot of my favourite aspects of reggae:
Strong roots, heavy dub and instrumental hornswork. There's even a couple of good DJ tracks. King Tubby and Tommy McCook both have strong presences and Micheal Rose, Big Youth and Trinity are also present.

I love Blood and Fire. They make albums feel like a piece of history. Anyone else out there a fan of this album?

They are mainly a reissue program, issuing 70s reggae, chanting and dub. They spend good money to take the tapes/biscuits to CEDAR processing where Kevin Metcalfe does an amazing job of making 30+ year old music sound so crisp and clear. I have almost all of their albums (35 or so) and haven't been disappointed yet. If you want a full discography w/ sound sample check:

www.bloodandfire.co.uk

One Love
Eric V

Yeah, I was going to get a couple of their albums for christmas. I was thinking of getting
Natty Cultural Dread,
Darker than Blue Soul from Jamdown 1973 - 1980,
If Deejay Was Your Trade - Dreads at King Tubby's,
Mr Isaacs - Gregory Isaacs,
X-Ray Music A Blood and Fire Dub Directory - The Dubmasters

I also want to get a King Tubby t-shirt. So I can show off my allegience.
