Peter Dean Rickards a jamaican photographer visited Lee Perry at his house in Kingston. See the pictures here:

http://www.afflictedyard.com/scratchark.htm

The photo series is titled
"THE BLACK ARK: LEE SCRATCH PERRY AT HOME"
and
"LEE SCRATCH PERRY, WASHINGTON GARDENS KINGSTON : OCTOBER 2008"

It seems that these pictures taken last autumn are actually from the remains of the black ark studio that Perry has burnt down in the seventies.
One of the rooms shown in fact looks charred like after a fire. However it's really hard to imagine that the place stayed that way for 30 years!..

If there is any Perry disciples around here who could shed some light on this I would be very interested to hear.

nice pictures!
in the deep roots documentary about Black Ark, there is a scene where Perry is with some childrens and there is a kid playing organs with a little girl singing. is it this place? it stayed intouched since 30 years? crazy....
