i think this must have been the amplifier of king tubby's sound system. <BR> <BR>Jah Shaka in the UK has a sound system of about the same age. his amplifier (with tubes!) is also huge like this one.

Looks like the same thing in this pic. Is this the "control station" of tubbys home town hi fi? I cant remember where i found this pic, but it was several pages into a google search for Osbourne Ruddock.
