MXP4 - new audio format allows access to individual tracks

Post by interruptor » Sat Sep 19, 2009 1:33 pm

A french company recently presented a new interactive audio format. interactivity in this case means that individual tracks are accessible thus allowing the listener to create a personal mix of the song.

A number of demo tracks were released. Check this online player and dial in your drum and bass only version of ABC by the Jackson 5..

Ive recently discovered .mogg files which are multitrack files, openable in Audacity (then you can group them and export as wavs for dubbing elsewhere).
There are alot of them floating around torrent/p2p networks for people who want to dub well known songs. (I cant find any reggae other than b marley though)

yeah a saw a bunch around of a few marley tracks..
and other bands too like nirvana and queen, haha

I actually found one... heard it through the grapevine by Marvin Gaye

i wanna try and dub that...the guitar style and the overall atmosphere of the song...to me seems very dub-able...haha. if someone wants me to send them the multitracks just let me know..
...i think i still have 2 or 3 marley tracks on my computer as well...

Ive been very much enjoying dubbing Oasis - Wonderwall, i uploaded a few mixes to talawa.fr but they got taken down for not being reggae (which is fair enough!)
