Nyabinghi Drums

Post by Blaminack » Sat Nov 24, 2007 2:41 pm

Greets all! I am a builder of fine Nyabinghi drums of the highest quality and I would love to get them into the hands of the Dub massive! Here are some pics of what I have available...

Now here are some that I have built recently...

Lovely looking drums (still look impressive even though seen pics on Versionist).

The link to the track on you ebay listing doesn't work-
can you post a working one?

If I get the cash I will be sorely tempted.

If the link doesn't work you could easily just search EBay for Nyabinghi... I think it would show up no problems.

The link is working for me now
http://www.versionist.com/vtunes.html?c ... nkid=29989

when I click on it now I've posted it here - but it didn't work for some reason putting the link into the url bar in IE.

Unfortunately really expensive wood :-o

Can you make model using cheaper materials to have a cheapest final price ?

Thanks,

very nice drums!

For cheaper niyahbinghi sounds, there are some nice samples on dubroom.org (and some nice guiro samples!)

Does anybody know of any other niyahbinghi samples? Before finding those samples i was using congo/bongo samples but they just dont sound the same.

Regarding Nyabinghi drum samples: Buy a CD like "Rastafari" by Ras Michael & The Sons of Negus which features some songs with nyabhingi drum intros. Sample those intros and split them into individual drum hits. You will not only have the original drums you also have them hit by original players in authentic rooms and recorded with vintage equipment!
