Circuit bending!
Hi people!

Just thought some of you in search of strange new sounds might like to try your hand at 'Circuit Bending', which is basically the modifying of electronic toys and cheap musical devices to create all sorts of mad noises! No particular electronics knowledge is required, although if you are a boffin you can approach the same ideas from a more theory-based angle!

For major inspiration check out the main bending man Reed Ghazala : http://www.anti-theory.com/soundart/
lots if cool devices there and extensive 'how to' stuff from the pioneer of this madness!

also if you care to you could take a look at my far lesser efforts on http://www.spiteyourface.com/cementimental/
I got an extensive index of circuitbending links on there too....

have fun people!

amazing stuff there,
as far as i can see it, the options are
almost limitless.
when i have the time - i'll give it a go...
it might not be boom-shaka-laka style,
but it'll be cool

circuit bending can be very rewarding. over the years, I have made some quite ridiculous and some quite useful sounds. but beware, you will soon find yourself wanting to start building electronics! Now, if only I could add a couple oscillators to that. . .
