DUB DISCUSSION BOARD

hi all,

I'm trying to get some good digital skank sounds like it is often used in UK dub style. Here is an example : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_cZiso7 ... re=related

It does not sound analog at all. the variation of the sound is important ... What would you advice me in term of synths ? I'm currently using FM8, Kontakt (with factory presets), absynth, etc.

Another question : what kind of effect is applied, apart from the compulsory reverb and delay ? I was thinking about a good phaser, but again, I cannot find one that satisfies myself.

Reverb, delay and phaser are all I hear on that.
There is an interesting splashy sound. I'm not sure what is making that, it may just be a synth with a fast LFO on pitch or something.
