wich of the tape records would be best solution while have in mind these issues and aims

-best prices with luck under 500,- euro (i know i am unrealstic :( )

-highly suitable for tape saturation (to drive those snares and bass crazy)
also for master 2 track

-SMALLEST occuring of errors, refixing etc. just not to be forced to spend another few hundret every year to keep it running

-low budget tape-loops available (ebay or elswhere)

etc. just the best combination

i was also recomendet the A77 but if it can drive into real saturation i dunno

I use a Revox A77 from time to time to create tape echoes. It does saturate nicely if needed and it is built like a tank. The price range some years ago was about the 500 Euro you mentioned.

i got myself an B77 highspeed version from a professional now, not here yet, good services etc for 300.. if u payed 500 for the lil bit cheaper A77 thats a lot bro

anyway wich tape/material can u recomend i heared the proffessional studio tape needs more volume to go into the saturation, so it sounds to me it makes more sense to use the longplay tape

Umm no, I paid 0.- for it. Sometimes you have to be lucky. ;-)
For echoing a very ordinary and old tape by 3M does it fine for me. If you want to do mastering you would prefer a new tape I assume..

I remember had seen and try some nice Fostex gear for really cheap ... (200 CHF and it was a 4 track with MIDI sync!! ... haven't money hat that time... I regret to haven't bought it... one week after ... left)

And Fostex are too a great brand (IMHA), check Tascam and Revox too of course.

Just check for good brand, it's easier to find pieces when needed

You can see this kind of gear sometimes in 2 hand store/musical store
