Bill Laswell Dub Sample CD

oops, sorry. this was supposed to be part of the "dub construction kit" post. I think that Laswell's collection of samples is the closest thing to a dub construction kit you may get.

Bill Laswell Dub Sample CD

don't worry looter.. i put the post here because i think the Laswell CD is worth it's own thread.

I once listened to the CD in a shop and found it to be sounding a lot like Bill Laswell and not so much like the seventies DUB sound i'm after.

What I would like to see in a dub sample cd would be:
- hi hat loops (recorded with a 70ies feel/sound)
- snare and percussion hits through a spring
reverb (soon i'll have my own spring reverb
then i won't ask for that anymore..)
- offbeat guitar chops
- hornriffs

On the other hand i agree with DC that it's cooler
to create something new yourself - if you can of course.
