first of all I personally would not even try to guess who's the most dub-ed singer of all times.
but, something cought my eye here and my brains... it's in the question - right there.
There;s something dreadful in the phrase: sampled in dub
at first, you may say... what's a big deal? Right? - well, - right. no big deal and nothing 'uncommon'...
and eah, it's just 'wording', yet, I'd say this:
sampling vocals for dub is morally wrong ..heh heh! , not to highlight the fact of 'sampling' per say, but rather to underline, that dubbing starts with the 'song' as the whole... and by "silencing" rather than by "injecting" vocal-cuts here and there. See what I mean?.
You may say - which ever way - the result is the same? Right ? ... nop - wrong! The pulsing heart and magic 'spirit' and attitude is missing, when 'inserting' samples in opposition to 'following the song/singing as solid expression and muting the voice out - another words - 'injecting' the silence while jamming with the riddim.
Do I make sense, guys ? heh heh

I know, I know.... I'm blah-blahin' again, lol

/respects

that's an interesting observation.. whereas vocal snippets in dance music styles like house, drum&bass, bigbeat are often samples ripped from existing recordings or movies this is traditionally not the case with dub which is based on existing complete songs as mike explained in detail above.
so in dub there is no culture of lifting samples from old vinyl. however if your question aims at finding records which can be used for this purpose i suggest you go through old dj/toaster records. many old jamaican tunes have spoken intros. Check albums like:
- Dr. Alimantado: "Best dressed chicken in town"
- Mutabaruka: "Check it"

i want to add the following: i feel sampling from old records may have been a hype thing in the 90's but nowadays it just sounds cheap if you build your tracks around vocal samples from old recordings. you would have to do it in a specifically creative fashion to make an impression.
