Strymon El Capistan modelled tape delay pedal

Post by eyetal riiddim » Sun Sep 11, 2011 11:29 pm

hey all
First post here - like to draw your attention to the above unit -its digital, it uses modelled algorithms and its not cheap, but it is the best hardware simulation of tape echo I have used. Attention to detail is awesome - tape age, crinkle, wow and flutter and single, movable and multihead models. Can go 100% wet for aux use and has a switchable spring verb model thrown in for good measure.
Thoroughly recommended and no head cleaning! 8-)

Certainly seems to sound warm and nice judging from videos.
It knocks UAD's Space Echo into a cocked hat.

I did a pretty in depth sound demo of the El Cap. It's so good, don't let them tell you it can't get gritty cause it definitely can!
