Post by fattestbass » Tue Mar 16, 2004 12:48 pm

Hi- I'm looking at getting a new delay, but was wondering if anyone uses a d-two, and whether they recon it's alright.
I've been looking at getting one since they look like a bargin second hand as their less thn £200.
Are they as good as all the reveiws say they are, or is it all a load of hype.
Cheers
Pat

for this price you hardly find better quality digital delay unit. just make sure it's in working condition... you can't fix this stuff yourself...ther's nothing to 'fix' in it ;-)
d-two and m-one(reverb unit) really are as good as most reviews say. Well... just keep in mind, that d-two is nothing more than delay... so even it's sort of an affortable unit..but still is sort of luxury for a small-pocket home studio. If you need more good quality effect than just delays, then check lexicon's mpx 110 or mpx 550.

/respects,
/Mike Zee aka DrZEE
zee dub lab

Thanks Mike, I think that it'll help me get what I'm after, as I've been trying to get good results from my studio quads, and GSP5, and neither are giving the desired effect, and it should be realy easy to slot in and control via midi.
Cheers
Pat

Pat, Digitech cheap processors are crappy sound quality wise. I have quad and tsr-6. Still use them for some specific applications... but really trying to avoid them as much as i can. Quad is great for its structure, editabiliti, midi ...but the sound of it ...argh grrrr ,

if you get tc or lexicon ..you'll hear the difference
anyhow, good luck

/respects,
/Mike Zee aka DrZEE
