hi dubbers,
its the 2nd post i write .. i dont use forum but i want to share my humble work .. im not a a professionnal but perhaps it gonna help you :) sorry for my english ..

i have restored my K-10 .. and here is explains for what i done ;

- i have begun to change the Selenium rectifier for a silicon one :
Image
i have placed it there for the pic .. glue it on left side,close to his original place (Dont put it on right side ,it will make hum with the Transformer )
then, i have insulated the wires ..
after this , im sure its a "clean" gear .. beacuse i&i have to care of our health ;)

- i have replaced all the chemical capacitors ,including the 4 section cap !!

its a bit difficult but a 50 years old cap is dead for sure (hum;noisy ,..)
Image
i don't found a 40MF .. i replace it by a 47MF ..
you have to unsolder the big Cap ..
Image
then join the 4 new caps with a plastic ring or tape ..( i used the rectifier's hole for pass it through the steel box)
Image
Don't forget to insulate the + of each cap and stripes (not yet on pic)..

after a big tribulation .. all was re-soldered with resitors & caps ... yes iii
the reverb works really great with a mic preamp before input unit (thks interruptor!!) input repuire min 0,2v to 5V .. so you can preamp the signal!!
King tubby's style without much noise !! whaoooo , now , i can mix it with an AUX send like my other fx ..

- i have put a steel plate because you have a big hole now !!!!!
Image

elctronic parts are ok now .. i will build her a wood box .. She deserve it !!!
Next part soon come

One love...

pour ceux qui ne savent pas quoi faire .. faudrait tester de changer tout .. condo+ resistances pendant qu'on y est ;)!! ya pas grand chose en fait à l interieur ..jvais d ailleurs la cloner prochainement ;;

DIY is the way

i would not have a problem to spend 150$ on a beauty like this.. but the ones i have seen are going off ebay for way over 200$ plus they usualy want about 60$ for the shipping to germany.. :?
