Phono Preamp for Spacexpander?

I read that Interruptor uses a phono preamp in front of his Spacexpander.Is that just a Radio Shack model? Or something nicer?What is the Impedance etc.?......Interruptor?Anyone? <BR> Thank you in advance, <BR> Steve

it's not a phono preamp. I use a microphone preamp. it's a pretty good model that i have bought at the same time as my microphone. Since it has two separate channels I can use one as a preamp for the spacexpander and the other one for the mic. <BR>before i bought the mic preamp i used a modified old walkman instead. circuit bending is king.. <IMG SRC="
