I've just exange my old deck for a` amek 20 (1973) : Impossible !some tube inside? No,amek technology... Do not work like other mixing decks.. "3 musical eq:bass,presence,high high pass low pass filter on master.....

This deck has 4 filter on master section!! 2filters L and 2filters R VEry interessting cross fitering..... But more efficient in dub:The amek EQ are powerfull but soft at the same time` Ex:Modulate the charley with presence gain Does like a High pass filter on it!But keep your sound realistic . In fact i was mixing on a midas venice32 (Was not mine!);I found the preamp and eq better on this old amek,and more adapted with vintage effect and dub ,probably because this midas was made for homestudio even his price is high (3x more expensive than the amek but new); If you pass lyon someday mail me ,we could mix or record some dub on my new 3m/amek analog system i've got some 2" used tape,or can do it more seriously......

Hi Aleph, Many thx for precision.. oh!! the high pass filter modulation on Hihat... that most be fantsatic! (like when i do that on my tube pre-filter). Venice32... look too enormous for digital stuff! Really good board you seems to have! You know Lausanne ? it's where i live and it's not long for go to Lyon!!!! I'm very interested to see you in live mix on your fantastic table! E-mail me.. because i haven't your mail.. and so we can speak french.
