Hi Kocha
I like this roots style of yours. I perceive it as very heartfelt and honest and some of your bass lines could seriously shake the foundations. Did you ever dub it live in a dance with that setup?
I am tempted to critize your hihat programming which sounds very drum machine like. But if you create your music on your own using drum machines and the like why shouldn't that be heard? Trying to be something your are not would not help the "heartfelt and honest" vibe I like about your music. To put it short: I prefer a honest drum machine beat over a lame live drum anytime. On the other hand a tight live drummer recorded properly just sounds better than a programmed beat mimicking a real drum.
Anyway, I like the way you use heavy echoing on your hihat track. Thinking about it properly I realize this would probably not be possible with a live drum as the snare usually spills over to the hihat track very much. In my usual setup I cannot do this as the whole drum is grouped to one stereo channel for dubbing.
Where did you get those great voices on Tolerance Dub? It sounds like African Head Charge to me.

It was a nice idea to you use those "computerized" (vocoder?) voices on Opening Connection Dub

Very nice music KoCha! Also, I like the video concept a lot - it works very well and when you watch it, it is strongly redolent of someone playing a musical instrument.. Can you tell us what kind of mixer you're using in these clips?
I look forward to checking the rest of your work. Cool stuff.. keep it up.

The mixer is a BCR 2000 midi controller by behringer. We recently discussed this over here:
