Hey guys. it's been a minute since I posted in the beginner's forum. I've finally got a little system together, and these are my first 'non-automated' mixes. It's been a blast getting this far, and I can't wait to keep goin'. Please feel free to leave feedback, as I'm trying to learn and really respect the knowledge of everyone here.

Hi,
Nice to see forum users.
It sounds like you have a room/camera mic picking up the sound from monitors. Is there a way you could get a master recording and sync that up to the video?

Yeah, I'm workin on that. Right now I'm using the soundcard on my computer to run my firewire interface, so I can't record the mix. Hence the camera. I can record it to my digital 8-track recorder, but I don't know jack about editing sound to video.

With digital recordings I presume you don't get the synch issues you would in the old days of analogue. Video and sound should just line up (I think).
DAWs like Cubase, Logic etc can import and display video. You then just get you audio into the DAW and line them up.
Dedicated video editor software will allow you to line up audio also.
