Here are also some new dub uploads of older Peacemakers tunes (2006-2007)
some of wich are live dubbed such as "Joy Full Dubb" "Riddim No.77" wich was
completely live, but had some strings, voices and FX overdubbed lateron

Hey, I like those tunes on the peacemakers page.. "Morkey space dub" sticks out for me. The first tune you posted in this thread seems to have a more refined sound, but I like the old tune for the catchy melodies and the heavy beat.

Hey Daniel, thank you for the feedback!

you see this makes the difference between the two tunes you mentioned
IMHO :

the tune "may bela/fresh water" is completely improvised we didnt know
what was happening and what we were doing. we dont talk things out
before we play. there were no cords no lyrics no bassline and as you can
hear there was no real hookline. we played the dub effects live as the
impro was progressing. i have a 16 channel mixing desk on the leslie wich
is situated directly next to the organ. throu that desk i get signals from
percussion, percussion synthesizer, my keyboards, my cousins keyboards
and so on. so this way i can add different delays and spring reverbs to
what i am playing , or even what the others are playing. my cousin Till
Tubby (bassman) has a wahwah pedal wich sends signal from the drums
spring reverb tthrou the wahwah so he can do filtering effects on the
drum reverb live while playing the bass. YvesTheChief (plays guitar and
keys simultaneously) has delay, phaser and wahwah fxpedals for his
setup. so the whole tune / sound and the dub FX are
generated completely live

As far as i can remember the morkey space dub is improvised also -
atleast the riddim section- but Till Tubby overdubbed two tracks of catchy
guitars -wich became the hookline- and he sung the vocals. At the end we
added quite alot of different percussion tracks and then we dubbed it
through the mixing desk to get all the FX. So this is more of a classic dub
process, in the other tune its completely live dub as the title of this thread
suggests.

anyway we have many live multi track recordings from the past two
years and we are now getting back to studio work to take the best live
tracks clean them up and overdub the hooklines :) so soon new music to
come , hopefully on Springline Records / Come Fi Conquer and we are
also planing a small label called "StepToTheRoots" Records for our own
peacemakers & iditafari family releases

also there are some peacemakers tunes from the past that we will spoil
with overdubs from time to time and upload them as specials for the
online communities

Sorry for the information overflow ;)

Peace yinyän
