King of Kings Dub is a good song, a bit too modern for my tastes but definitly well played and mixed and produced and all that.

I'll possibly even download some more, which is a good sign.

Thanks for all your comments. I must give specially thanks to Mike Zee. You helpt me alot in the beginning, you recomend me to by the Roland JV 1080, a really good synth, and also with som beginners dub techniques. (what do you mean with "based on lofi streaming")

Bin ez, do you have any songs that I can listen to?

I really like your style of making dub in roots. Keep up the dubbing...

Bless
/David Prophet

ah, David! is it you, Sam???? heh heh ..HI!
funny, it may get all confusing who's'who on b-boards.
Nice works, really.
'based on lofi'...I mean I was streaming from b-sonic site... and it's lofi-mono streaming. Sounded pretty good. When I hit d-load it starts some registration stuff... I was just on the run... what's this registration there at b-sonic? is it just sort of regular 'ala' give me you address and e-mail and you can start d-loading.
????
I'm also getting too lazy to go through all these registration/password-creations/logins stuff..., you know...
I kinda got used to mostly listening from mp3.com... but not everyone producer using mp3.com for mp3s...
*********
well, regardless... glad to hear your works and that you are getting into dub-production.
keep up and drop a note when you have new works out.
Also I'm not as often around as I used to be.... but still trying to find a min. to swing over and check what's up at this cool b-board

respects,
later,
/M Zee

I have three tunes but they aren't really dubs.

They are more like a contemporary remix, really, and maybe not to your taste. They're not very professional. You can check them at:

http://www.angelfire.com/musicals/canikickit/

They're remixes of 400 Years, One Drop and a melodica cut of Burial by Augustus Pablo.

woooooooooow B)
itsa'nice to be lucky to have a nice friend with a nice voice . mo to that - willing to actually sing , you know....
very nice... kinda folk flavor... kinda alternative..., smooth'n sad mood, well, don't read my word, cos it's hard to describe anyway.
guys, check out tracks - really nice dubs.

so, David, what's your set-up now in general. just interesting to know.
are these 'analog synth sounds effects' from JV?, I know there's a patch there which has this sound, you can tweak it too ....

and ups to Keri!

later, /respects

m zee

Thanx alot for your comments Mike, i'm shoor Keri would be very happy for your comments. She acually improvised this song. I just gave her a text and the the first time she sung it came out this nice..

I use the roland jv 1080 for all sounds.(Thanx to you) The skank in the song is a piano phased by a boss super phaser connected to my alesis 1622 16 chanel mixer. And also the flute and klavinet is phased. I use a yamaha bass guitar and also playing the melodica (hohner piano 26). In some tunes I play the guitar.

I only have a poor danecho guitar pedal for the echoes, but I resently bouth the Lexicon Reflex for reverbs. really nice reverb. You can hear how migesty and smooth her voice sounds with the reverb.

I also bouth an old akai s1000 sampler, but I haven't really learnt how to use it, so i'm still using the HAlion sampler for cubase.

I dont really understand what analog sounds you mean, but I think you mean the sounds that sounds a little bit like a siren. And thats just a sample I downloaded from inernet and sampled it in to halion and put some delay on it.

/David Prophet

ahh, cool, sounds good, man... you kinda set-well
Try to gear-up the s1000, it's an ugly-old-machine but built well and should work 'beautifully' in the dubbin' set, you can load it with bunch of sounds, especially effects ...

Yeah, I am talking about that old-classic sound-effect ..., you also used it on other tracks.

boss s-ph did a good work ... hmmmmm . I gotta finally try this box myself.

ok, man, keep up,
be talking to you later,

/respects
/m z

oh, btw, a more 'dubed-out' mix of "Jah jah live" could be great... with vocals 'cut-offs and "endless delays" etc... classic path, you know
/mz
