How do I make Jungle Drum loops

Post by John Ellison IV » Thu May 20, 2004 2:55 am

How do I make Jungle drum loops? I'm having alot of trouble with this. They all come out really crappy sounding and amateurish. Any tips? I've tried the drum tips on the site. But no avail.

If your tips don't work, Where can I find some decent jungle break beats on either CD or online.

Maybe it`s not the tips that don`t work, maybe it`s your imagination...

maybe you are missing some basic loops as a starting point. try the amen break first.

more breaks can be downloaded here

If it can help you, and if you have fruity loops aor FL Studio, you can use the fruity slicer and randomize the slices...

Thcx

I am a drummer and I finally grasped the concept of of electronic drums. I use reaper. There is a song named 'A Vida' by 'Cujo'. I want to know how to morph my drum tracks like that. He juggles with the speeds, tones and adds effects ect. Is this a piece of hardware that he is using or is there a straight forward way to do this on DAW side?
I think faze1audio is best for creating jingles for companies online.

You can do this type of editing in a DAW by stretching a drum Loop to different tempos and then spliting each loop into pieces which you can rearrange as you like.
There is also a software called Isotope breaktweaker which is meant to speed-up the process. Since cujo /amon tobin is around for over 20 years I‘d guess the tune you mentioned is edited by hand in the daw, maybe even using a sampler as it was used for all 90s breakbeat music.
