HM, you must agree - this thing is shamelessly OVERpriced. Just look inside. Part of the problem/reason maybe, thou... that it's harder to sell a product like this in general, so to keep the 'producer' in biz you have to price it trippled or so... hmmmmmmmmm ? I am not sure really...just my speculations. The other side, not to miss!!!! What does it mean exactly "The best sounding spring rever I've tested"....????? Does it mean - 'cleanest' ...or something like this. So then, this maybe not exactly a 'positive' for what you may expect for your specific production needs. The 'dirtynees' of old spring-units/cabs is maybe exactly what you want. well, it all depends... this is most eye-hitting line in this review: You can even use the Real Reverb with drums, though you have to keep the reverb level fairly low to avoid giving the game away. heh heh <IMG SRC="http://www.interruptor.ch/cgi-bin/discu ... /happy.gif" ALT=":)"> ... think about it for a moment from point of view of a dub-producer. yes I agree, just wanted to post that this sos back-issue test was available now, personally I would prefer this vermona thing: <A HREF="http://www.sonicstate.com/articles/arti ... =77&page=1" TARGET="_top">http://www.sonicstate.com/articles/arti ... &page=1</A> Less price and so many more weakings it gives I dont care if "stereo" or not, I have a hard time imagine two matched phase-linear tanks :-) anyway spring king is not getting replaced soon

Vermona products got 'balls' ..heh heh ;) and their spring-box is cool as it can be... extra tweaks make it a creative tool for vary application... not to mention 'kik-crash button' heh heh ;) From production/technical point, I'd say 'true-stereo' dual spring is sort of silly thing. about true stereo springs: i also experienced that a mono spring is better if you want to bring out the boingy/shattery aspect of a spring reverb. using one spring on the left and one on the right gives a very broad stereo feel but it smoothes out the grittyness of the spring. to get a stereo effect rather pan the reverb slightly or heavily to one side an apply a bit of (digital) room reverb to it.
