Haven't read the whole thread here but

Scientist Rids the world of the curse of the evil vampires

is a favourite and well popular due to GTA3.

Respect GTA3 - the originator.

good idea django!
..except that tubby was a non-smoker. so if one out of the two most influencial dub artists does not smoke weed can you really say dub is music "from herb lovers for herb lovers"? any additional thoughts regarding ganja to this page please..

Opps!!! Make that a BIG opps!!!
I forgot to mention to buy anything and I mean anything on the Wackies label straight out of NYC for the freashest yet roughest take on reggae outside Jamaica. Start with "Creation Dub" lp and then go for the "Jamaica Super Dub" set both are worth their weight in gold!

Worth checking out

First off, something from sweden.

Marcosido

This guy has myspace. WWW.MYSPACE.COM/MARCOSIDO

Not allways pure dub in the playlist but well, i think you will enjoy it allso.

Otherwise (to you DC)

Deadbeat.

There was someone, if im not wrong "dc", who was wondering if people were stuck in the 70's. Well, no, this guy Deadbeat is one of my favorites when it comes to more nu-school dub...

You could allways otherwise check out the danish guys, like trentemöller who is not into producing dub but has a couple of really dubby tracks. Especially Evil dub, i belive you can find the track on youtube. It might even be still available as a live version, but the name would in that case be evil dub - moan or something similar.

Well he who seeks shall find. I bet my ass on the fact that im forgetting a couple of my other favorites but well...

Ok so now you have nuff "starter" tunez for your friend.. So, he really
likes dubwise music now and you've got to show him some more... Some
deeper stuff, some insiders some musical jems hidden far away from the
"mainstream" dub..

So here some tracks I like to listen to nowadays. Some better known, some really rare, some older, some newer:

4th street orchestra - rowing down the river
Prince lincoln Thompson & The Royal Rasses - Second Sight
Prince lincoln Thompson & The Royal Rasses - Whopping good dub
Twinkle Brothers - Jahoviah in Dub
Twinkle Brothers - Rasta Pon Top Dub
Matumbi - Nothing at all (12" Dub Version)
Mad Professor captures Pato Banton - Nuff kind of Dread
Johnny Clarke & Jah Shacka - Babylon (12" Dub Version)
Asher & Tremble - Humble Dub - 7" Rockers-b side
the african brothers - warlord dub
Ras Michael & the Sons of Negus - truth & right (dub)
Iration Steppas - locks
Iration Steppas - locks [10'' single] locks dub
Iration Steppas - Jah Is my protector
Tony Roots - Roots Rock Reggae/Bush Chemists - Roots Rock Reggae Dub 10"

This thread seems like a popular one to resurrect on a regular basis, here we go again then.
Dub cuts that had most impact on me and I would recommend to any newcomers, most of these ARE seminal. Old stuff:

The Revolutionaries - Leggo Dub (good luck finding this!)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bj817xAelj4
Blackbeard - I Wah Dub http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmkDyY80pEY
Aswad - A New Chapter of Dub http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GWw0hwjLxM
Black Uhuru - The Dub Factor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWi3ld8H7xM
Mikey Dread - World War III http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptvagx_xboM
Lee Perry - Black Ark in Dub http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9pwO_aQ9pc
Prince Fari - Cry Tuff Dub Encounter 2 & 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IvAQRu17YY
Various On-U-Sound early catalogue (wicked stuff like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wL9_d3PTkds)

tracks:
Prince Jammy - Second Generation (dub of Don Carlos - Late Night Blues & this really is how it's properly done!) the original is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P24EAG52jyU
MeatBeat Manifesto - Radio Babylon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ILqfpDD6XE
Gary Clail & The Barmy Army - Privatise the Air http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08ClpJrNdqI
Hallucinogen - L.S.D. 'World Sheet Of Closed String' Mix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8LHBGFZmsA
Dreadzone - Zion Youth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72RV-qaYCqo
The Bug - Live & Learn http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWid3tWYi0Y

YouTube is far from the best quality but you can get an idea...
buy them if you like them.
