Hi there fellow dubheads.

Here's the link to Soundclick for Concrete Tribe Dub Sound System, a dub rock instrumental band from Belgrade, Serbia. We improvise and experiment a lot, and we do not have arranged songs yet - this is the band in its birth. We're just a few friends foolin' around, and we don't think that our music is made for commercial presentation. We just play out our sharing trips during those occasional friendly jams. This one uploaded is called "Tappa Zukie Quest", because of looping two heavy sampled Tappa's sentences at the end of whole improvisation - during last two minutes. It's almost 15 mins long LIVE recorded improvisation, never arranged or composed before, and it has its own flows - rhythm section is falling apart from time to time, sometimes we're little disorientated, but we have our high times.

http://www.soundclick.com/concretetribe ... dsystem

Here's the gang:
Sale - Bass
Dusan - Guitar, Sampling, Sounds (on this message board as Abramelin)
Dragan - Drums
Sale - Mouth Organ
Gagi - Cow Bells

Well, fellow dubheads here, you're among the few who are directed to this link, so I'll be very happy to read any feedback. I'm excited to hear opinions from dub mastas and visitors of this site. Throw your rocks and word of wisdom.

PS
And of course, many, many thanks to Interruptor for his Echomania and Echolive VSTs which I used specially for this jam sampling. I usually use pro plugins like PSP Lexicon 84, Native Instruments Spektral Delay, Wave Arts Masterverb 5 ..... but your plugins are geat with their raw, fat analog like sound. Incredible for tape simulations, and they're really light for general CPU.

I enjoyed it and listened to the whole thing.
It sounds like a jam which is what it is.
It reminds me of when I had a dub band because it sounds like rehearsal tapes of when we were jamming something out.

You are half the way there just by having 4 other people who want to do the same thing and are reasonable players.

The live effects are a very good feature.

If you can work out some structures and make one 'song' distinctive from another then that would be a very good thing.
Also, it might be good if you could get hold of some hand drums for Gagi. I think some kete/congas/bongos might go well in there.

Thanks Neil C.
I'm glad to hear you like it.

You're right about other percussions, we have that in mind already. For sure you're right about arranging and composing song ideas from improvisation. I play guitar, I also play some prepared samples on CD, and btw I also play with some shitty Zoom voice FX processor - throwing delays and echos over snare drum in realtime (on mixer and that Zoom). So I need someone to replace me on mixer with right analog equpment (delay, echo, phase, overdrive, flange etc). Sale (mouth organ) also plays melodica in other songs. Well, there's a lot of work to be done with this music, and such feedback will boost us to another upswing level.

Thanks for comments again.
Jah heights.
