DOEPFER A-199 Spring Reverb

i never tried it myself. but looking at the specificiation i think you have to be aware of the following:

- this is a rack module for the doepfer modular synth. so you need to get an additional external power supply

- the a-199 reverb is built of three short springs mounted in parallel. this will result in a different sound than the accutronic springtanks with 2 longs springs which were mostly used in dub music from the seventies.
(i would expect less of that nice wobble)

see this pic:

here is doepfers documentation of the unit: link

I have the Doepfer spring reverb as part of a modular synth. I've used it to route audio through via an aux send and it sounds good, but as the above post says - the springs are about 8 cm (3 of), so it its not quite as deep as you would want for Dub, but perfectly useable.
You could mount it in one of Doepfer's small cases with power rails - but this would cost well over £100. The reverb tank is a separate unit which connects via phono from the panel mounted module, so some people have connected a longer external spring tank unit for denser reverb without much trouble.
