so try steinberg Bbox...it works fine even on 486 machines, but you cant get much instrument there...just their own midi based drums

Hello,
A really good drum program that costs
$50 is DRUMS! by some guy in CHZECH called Pietro. I've used fruity loops etc. DRUMS! is
IMHO the best out there and it is shareware. It is the best if you want real sounding drums. They are coming out with version 2 and I can't wait.

Peace - Ove

I haven't found a good drum machine to install on my machine yet, so I use GrooveLad, an online drum machine. It can be found at http://www.artopod.com/groovelab/

Steinberg BBox... or boost your computer and definitely buy Propellerhead's Reason & Rebirth, there is nothing better as a computer based drum machine

b box is a simple enough prog, and you can even import own sounds, but they must be mono :/

If you are using Fruity then you already have one of the best and most intuitive drum sequencers available for a pc, and you can import samples and one shots too.

You can use VST instruments with it aswell, try Drumatic from http://ww.e-phonic.com, ErsDrums from.. er... somewhere and SR-202 from Computer Music magazine (http://www.computermusic.co.uk/about/sr202.asp). All free, if memory seves me corectly and all worth a try. Also try http://www.kvr-vst.com/

I also use sr202 from cm and works fine. You have some differents presets that do their job. It suits perfect to dub, cause in cubase you can send the kick, snare and hi-hats to different tracks. Steinberg Lm-4 does the same thing but the sounds are weaker. Best of all, use fruity loops as a drum machine, almost real.
