Sampled horns!

Post by puma » Sat Mar 07, 2009 6:09 pm

Hi i want to know if there is some sample cd that have "good" horns for reggae/dub projects. I have a cuple of them but they only have ready made loops and it kinda sucks after a while so i am now searching for single horn tones.

Hi, I achieved quite good results combining live sax and melodica with sampled trombone and trumpet.
The trombone and trumpet library I used is an AKAI Format CD-Rom from Best Service called "Xsample Libraries Volume 3 - French Horn Trumpet Trombone".

I just saw at http://www.bestservice.de that they do not sell this product anymore..

You can listen to some brasslines and brass offbeat chops that I recorded this way in realaudio format:

http://www.interruptor.ch/audio/confide ... stereo.ram
http://www.interruptor.ch/audio/dubinmo ... stereo.ram (brassline starts 60 seconds into the track)
