connecting noise?

Post by Gnarler » Sun May 17, 2009 10:56 pm

Hey all, just popping in to say I made the french guy's dub siren from the sirenschematic.doc ...

The volume and pitch work fine but the other 2 potentiometers dont affect anything (might be my solder job) and there is a big thump noise when ever I press or release the switch, which isn't an off/on because electricity is still flowing through the circuit while off.

Just wondering if any one else gets that thump noise when the switch is pressed

And also wondering if wire no. 3 from the left 555 needs to be connected to something?

Also I noticed with the switch off, I can tap the battery to the terminals and remove battery, and all the power in the capacitors slowly bleeds off in an engine dying sort of noise, I dont know if that is intentional but its neat.

So I'm just curious if anyone else had these problems, thanks!
