Tasacam Portastudio 424 single track recording

Post by f-holes » Thu Jan 07, 2010 1:45 pm

I can get channel 3 and 4 to record individually, or together in stereo, no problem. But, anytime I record channel 1 alone (direct), it automatically sends and records the signal to channel two also. Likewise, when recording on channel 2 the same way, it sends and records a signal on channel one. Again, I have no problems with 3 and 4. I have an older 244 (?), and have no problems recording 1 and 2 separately. I feel something is not working, or I am an idiot. Help.

hi
i don´t have the problem on my 424 mkII.
Don´t know if they fixed that problem on the mkII or if it´s a special problem on your device.
You can try to set channel 1 on "left" & 2 on "right". then pan channel 1 extreme left and channel 2 extrem right. if you set channel 3 &4 to direct mode you will be able to record 4 channels at once.
hope this helped you
