Natural Reverb for Dub Drums

Thought this was a very cool idea from the drummer of Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad.

That natural reverb is sounding so good - has anyone tried a technique like this before to record? Mic techniques?

Nice Video, old technique.

When they built Capitol Recording Studios in CA, in the mid 50's. They dug out the parking lot next door, and built eight reinforced trapezoid concrete rooms.
