dubwise, if you need manual, then you can go to www.akaipro.com to support and download zip with pdf manual. Here the link: AKAIpro support page there click on MANUALS tub/link on the left, and you'll see the list of available manuals, there is manual for s1000 V2.0 operating system. I never had s1000 myself, but just as a note (which I am not sure about), the OPTION button maybe 'disabled' normally, I mean there's nothing wrong with it, it's just that the operating system of your sampler (software part) is not 'using' this button, another words the hardware actually design with "think ahead" in mind, so in future operating system this button will be implemented. Now I don't know details. What operating system version your sampler got. Do you have Operating System Disc with it, it can be factory disc, or actually copy, made by previous owner. On AKAI-support page there's OS-download tub-link also. Go there. It looks like OS V4.40 for s1000 is available. You'll also need to download and learn how to use so called OS-maker, it's a simple program, which let's you to download operating system from the internet to your PC (or mac version if you use Mac) and then create a disc on your PC, which can be then inserted into your AKAI-sampler and you can install newer version of operating system. Also it's a good idea always to have an extra copy of operating system disc just in case something wrong goes with your sampler. good luck samplin' /Mike Zee ZEE DUB LAB |
