can you recommend a good book that has a solid history of dub and roots?..

Swinging Chad recommended the book "People Funny Boy" by David Katz on this board some time ago: "In the course of telling Lee Scratch Perry's life story he tells the whole story of Jamaican music. The best book ever on reggae."

I am not aware of any books dedicated to dub alone.

good luck..
