Rather than taking over the Spacexpander thread I thought I'd continue the jpeg thing here.
I entered the URL thing correctly and I was asked to select the jpeg on my hard drive. After an amount of time that I would expect for a jpeg upload I got the explorer 'page is unavailable screen'.
I only tried the process twice but 3 postings (with the blank picture slots) appeared on the forum.
I'll try again now with one picture and see what happens.
If it doesn't work - does anyone know why I might be having trouble? I wonder if it might be my firewall.
I presume I must have entered the URL correctly or I wouldn't have got the 'your image here' thing. |

I have the answer now:
'The file you attempted to upload is larger than the maximum size for a file as specified by the board administrator. File size is limited to 50.0 kilobytes. Your file was 152.1 kilobytes. If this is an image, try reducing the dimensions or the color depth. If this is another type of file, try compressing the file with a zip program.'
I didn't get that message before.
I'll squash my images. |

cool, neil.. thanks for going through the extra effort. i set the max. image size rather low because i want to keep the board complete without deleting old messages as it is done on many forums. this means keeping file size low is essential. |
